I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on how you might incorporate normal maps with blend shapes. Using a human head as an example...would you generate a normal map for the base head as well as all the blend shapes? And then apply them as animated textures, like using different bump maps for the furrowed brows and such?
Also, can anyone tell me what happens when you deform a surface that has a normal map applied to it?
