hi,
I was wondering if someone could help me with the technique. I'm trying to model this

http://free-zg.t-com.hr/halflife2/knight/knighty2.jpg

when animated it looks like a real chain net, now I reckon it's modeled chain by chain then animated with reactor, it's a tough one. I never modeled anything like this, so I need some help, suggestions etc...

P.S.
I really don't know how this thing is called in my language and especially not in English so if one of you moderators would be polite to change the subject's name correctly I would be thankfull :)

another option (probably) would be to use reference objects that are swapped out at render time. for instance in max, you could use xref objects.
