FOOD FOR THE MOON PRODUCTIONS
is creating a scifi space epic
MARS: THE TABRIS
Food for the Moon Productions is a production company based in the Northern California, producing more than half a dozen short film projects a year for festival and commercial release. We work with artists and composers from all over the world, bringing together talent for concerted creative efforts.
We are currently finishing studio shooting of this short film (25-30 minutes) and we'd like to take on 2 or 3 CG artists for our background interior work that is not being covered by our modellers. The work involves the design and creation (from modelling to rendering) of:
escape pod interior (similar to the 2001: The Space Odyssey excursion pods)
underground control headquarters: (similar to this location (http://www.foodforthemoon.com/spaceepic/conceptdesign/gundam-ref/epfourtyseven2.jpg)).
an underground ancient temple (a circular room with rock walls)
a large command bridge (2 angles, one being simply a window frame)
You would design the interior, then render out stills for us as needed for our backgrounds, to be composited with our green screen footage. This work will begin immediately, as post-production has already begun. You'll be given all our concept design work upon hiring, and we will set you up with an FTP location to upload the work to.
WHAT WE'RE OFFERING for these fine services:
Exposure: These films are slated for scifi convention and festival release. We've done this circuit once before, often coming in at second place competitively. This time we WILL get first place, please help us out!
Screen Credit: Something to
Demo reel editing/creation. We are a film production company, we will help you make a demo reel from this work, and your previous work, if you desire one.
Lasting relationship. Our company makes many movies per year. If we know we can count on a good CG team, we can have more of these projects include more CG. This means more for your resume, and ultimately we can pay you, and maybe when we're big we'll let you run our CG division, who knows.
