Title: The Avenger
Name: Ellery Connell
Country: USA
Software: LightWave 3D, Photoshop

This is a spec sheet that I did as a sample for some people who were interested in having more information on the techology behind this fighter. Modeled & Rendered in Lightwave, slight post & text added in Photoshop.

excellent model, congrats! two critiques as regards the presentation: back off on the specularity as it detracts from a pure model presentation (mho), and the wireframe should fade from the back of the image to the front, not as you have it from front to back.

combine these two with what you already have and you have a perfect presentation for your perfect model.

Critique above makes sense. This is a pretty neat ship design, keep it up

Could you make the wireframe a bit brighter and have it to a quick fade into the texture? I think that might be a better effect. Worth a quick try anyway.

My main problem is that there is an improper sense of scale. It looks like a toy ship that's 10 inches long.

ya... depth of field was a bit much. Tried to get in everyones comments (except the paint, I have reduced the spec on it but didn't have time to re-render... these changes were made to the original layered file).

Thanks for the comments everyone.

cool design. i have a couple of crits. the 1st is it look a little bit too turbo smoothed, no real body lines (panel or anything). the second is the "soft lighting" techniqe it looks like you are trying. this in my opinion has almost become over used and cliche since prince of persia. it seems to wash out the green a bit too much. maybe tweak it or go for a beauty render with hdr or something. good luck, looks pretty sweet
