i don't know where to go with this at all, i'm lost please help, rying to make a good desktop

Well the black looks like it might need some change - are you going for techy or organic,maybe pick 2 or 3 colors to make a cohesive color scheme. I wouldn't add any detail in the backround - but that doesn't rule out some HUD like elements.
