View Full Version : Maya plug-ins for games import
Atomicdog 05-14-2006, 11:33 AM Hi,
I would like to import characters from Maya to Games. I wanna give it a shot. I have found one Tutorial for Unreal Tournament 2004 at the alias homepage, but I'm looking for Maya plug-ins (may be with tutorial) for other games.
Does anyone know some?
Thanks!

You can get the ActorX plugin to export from Maya to Unreal Tournament 2004.

You can download the XSI mod tool and an .obj export plugin for Maya, then export from XSI to the Source engine (used for Half-Life 2). Alternatively, this website (http://mitglied.lycos.de/prallvamp/) has some info on going straight from Maya to the Source engine.

Thanks! That's what I was looking for. Do you know a tutorial or something like that for this process? (Poly-count, disp-maps, normal-maps, ... and so forth..... what can I do/what can't I do)
