Hi. I'm getting ready to go to basic for a while, so I won't be able to draw. Before I leave, I want to show what I've been doing for the past couple of months. Sorry I haven't been participating in crtiques, I've been mostly out of town. Please tell me what needs to be changed/ improved on this one. I know of a few design flaws and color problems (I started on this one a while ago.) I went crazy on the glowing hand, I'll admit. thanks in advance.
Backstory:
Long ago in the world of Ce'OS (KEY-OUHS), humanity fought a war with the immensly powerful Draconi. Being faced with such insurmountable might and magic power, the future of the human race looked grim. The tide of the war turned in humanity's favor when a chemist discovered an explosive compund. it was used to propel a projectile with the ability to penetrate the Draconis' magic and thick hides. Eventually, the people of Ce'OS defeated the Draconi and enslaved the survivors. Millenia passed, and the once rulers of the world were reduced a fraction of their ancestor's size and mindless servants. This, coupled with their lord, Gilang, (as old as the world and possibly key to its very survival) driven into a great slumber deep in the mountains, the Draconi are truly a defeated race. Time passed, humanity began to excel in both magical and tachnological fields. Even the tales of the behemoths that tormented people since the beginning of humanity's existance are all but forgotten.
Durham (shown here in full armor) has no memory of his birth. He was discovered as a child nearly dead and being tortured by escaped Draconi slaves. The Draconi were immediately killed and durham taken back to civilization. Thanks to the healing magic of the housemaiden, Durham's life was saved. However, his left arm and leg were both lost as well as his face mutilated in the incident. Durham was accepted into the aristocratic family that rescued him. However, he had to have his limbs mended and keep his face covered at all times. at a young age, he joined the armed forces and quickly excelled. due to his exploits, he was awarded an elemental projection arm which used a combination of magic and technology to create a power never before seen by the people of Ce'OS. he is a young man of great potential who hasn't truly had his abilities tested yet. they will be tested soon (they always are)
I kinda sidestepped the areas I haven't thought of yet, but I wanted to show this before I left. Please give me critiques.
