View Full Version : swimming textures on hair

So I have some dynamic curves (hairSystem) with pfx attached that i've converted to geometry. With the default UV's that come w/ pfx geometry, the texture works, but when i UV, the texture swims. The default UVs do not work for the texture I need to do. The texture follows normal animation fine, only seems to ignore dynamics. Anyone have any ideas?

Some notes:
"Insert before deformers" is checked when I UV.
I've tried using a Texture Reference Object , although it says to do it before applying deformations, and i'm not sure how that applies to hair (since "deformations" only really happen upon "play").
The help files refer to something called "local" on the projection, which I can't find anywhere.

Any suggestions or ideas would be extremely helpful.
