I like it!
Hey do you box>smooth-shift or detail out?
I'm finding that FI_Jigsaw is invaluable in adding detail.

hey wgreenlee1
I usually boxmodel, but I started out making some reference images for this one, and I like the point by point method more for that, gives me more control.
I havent used FI_jigsaw, only one I know is FI_wrinkle. what does it do ?

UV mapped head, done with the menithings method.

It's looking really great. Nice UV map, very clean. I'll have to give that method a try one day, looks like a very good solution to some of the problems I have with UV maps now.
The model itself is great to, very clean mesh, nice flow! I'll sure keep my eye on this thread!

derelict

this is one of a few beautifully crafted human body i ever seen to date. there are a few but they mostly are hidden by clothes.
I like it alot. i must say the face look like everyday girl which i like. Unlike those super model look so many people go for nowadays.
Keep up the good work dude! My eyes are on this thread!

Soeren
this is a really nice model you're working on. I agree with derelict that it's one of the nicest 3d modeled human bodies I've seen. The anatomy is really spot on and the mesh is clean!
keep us posted.

It's a really great model! Nothing to crit once again! I can imagine it will be a lot of fun animating her! I'll check back later.

You are a speed demon! That was really fast!
hmmm the feet is kinda small but than god created man or should i say woman is many shape and size.
I cant wait for her to take on a shade! Texture her now! :)

Nice nice !
Was wondering, are you working with some references in the background or did you integrate the complete human anatomy ?
Soeren Nielsen
01-10-2003, 09:32 AM
- derelict, maybe your right, its noted. Cant wait to animate her either
- Facial deluxe, I collected soooo many reference pictures in a couple of days before I started, and drew some reference.. now let me tell you Im not very good at drawing, so I have been looking at alot of pictures the whole time.
The reason I could do it this fast, is that I have a model (homemade) which is very rough, but have the right proportions, I keep that in the background, and model around it.

excellent work, and at great speed too, but i do think there's something wrong with her , erm, 'behind' :) it's pulled backwards too much, but everything else is just fine , keep up the good work

last update for now.. Im damn tired.
but now she can keep warm ;)

01-10-2003, 11:49 AM
wow looks really nice soeren:thumbsup:
but the proportions looks a bit weird (legs) but im not really sure what it is.... the thighs might be a little to big, the rest of the character is skinny, so the thighs and calfs looks a bit to large.
other then that, great modeling, keep up the good work ;)

I don't know, it seems a lot of girls have weight centered in their lower body, esp thighs. This girl seems to have quite realistic proportions.
Looking great!

Looks great.
I wish I could model this fast.
Her legs either need to be a little bit longer or a little thinner.
But thats my only crits.
Keep up the great work!
This looks gooood

Hey Soeren,
Great digital sculpture!!!
check out the anatomy on the feet, they do look weird. Wouldn´t the legs be a little longer as well?
Congrats on the great work.
Soeren Nielsen
01-10-2003, 11:30 PM
Hey everyone, thanks for the critique, I really dont know about the leg length, I dont want her to look like a leggy superbabe, my intention was to make her plausible from the start.
But since so many said it, I lengthened them just a little bit, not much, wont post an update just yet. Just finished UVmapping her, so I will soon start texturing. rigging will also be done sometime soon.. like tonight probably.
Christian Mir, I do really think that its the angle or something thats cheating, Im certain that there is nothing wrong with the feet.

Wow Nice Soeren. How do you do it? Great anatomy, and she even looks hot! And in such fast of time. Keep it up, I wanna see her finished.

lengthened them, the leggs? dont think that is a good idea... do every model in this gallery has to look like Cindy Crowford? Exeptionaly long legs are not normal... even if everyone here seem to think so.
But I feel challanged by you Soeren to improve my modeling skill. I did not think it was possible to model without using any triangles at all. Shame on me!
Keep it up, my Lord Soeren!
Soeren Nielsen
01-12-2003, 04:34 AM
hehe, no worries, I only lengthened them by 2-3 cm nothing wild

Great model man, you have some clean geometry! I wish i knew how to box model..
Soeren Nielsen
01-12-2003, 09:06 PM
Jimstein : it is possible to model entirely without triangles, right now I do have a couple, (8 I think) but as long as the number is low its fine.
Shaykai : practice on it and you will know soon.
a few updates, made some new panties. (which I will probably not be using, unless you guys think they are better)
Made them as a request by urgaffel :) so now he's happy I think.
