View Full Version : Would like to model a street in tokyo.......

Hi guys, Im currently working on my portfolio and I would like to model the shinjuku strip in japan, I have found a few photos but none is really good for detail as i want this to be a main showpiece.
Has anybody else modelled anything like this or could any1 help at all? I would be verygreatful for any advce and help given thanks :D

Not sure if this is of any help, I was in Tokyo in 2002, took these snaps of Shinjuku (now that I think of it, I'm not sure if pic 130 is part of Shinjuku... sorry about that).. at the time Shibuya got a bit more attention from my camera ;)

has any1 heard of city scape generators...they use ariel photos which erect cities based on the image!? any help on these would be awesome too! As this is not a modlling project its to show my texturing skills off:D

Holy cow... So much stuff, now that is fit for one of them hardcore modeling challenges. I think I'll work on one of those buildings too after my current project, thanks so much for the pictures.

No problem guys, glad I could help. I can recommend Google Earth btw, Tokyo is very detailed in there I bet you can use that to trace a map of the strip.
