I am not cool enough to have maya unlimited, so my attempt to make something fuzzy ends up with me trying to use the paint effects tool. When i have the paint at depth off, it paints correctly for a moment, then, it takes the mesh it just created and plants it right at the feet of what i'm working on. So instead of my character having fur on his head, he has fur between his feet. Any suggestions?
