View Full Version : Watermark
Hello, I'm new to this forum and to Maya (used 3dsMax before).
I recently downloaded the PLE of Maya 4.5. Since I'm still a beginner, I don't mind the restrictions on the program. What I do mind are those letters all over my render screen or 3D space in smooth view (not sure what the correct terms are for this).
Can someone plz tell me if there's a way to shut that off.
If it's not something you want to share in an open forum, plz mail me at diablo24e@hotmail.com
Thanks

Yes! There's an easy solution! Mail Alias|Wavefront a check for $1500. They'll fix that up real quick.
I heard they removed the watermark on wireframe views. The watermark on the XSI experience CD isn't quite as bad.
so you mean it's not like that in the full version?! :D

Umm...well...you see the point of the watermarks is to restrict you to using the program for evaluation or education purposes. If you want to use it for commercial purposes (that is, make money), you gotta pony up the cash to remove the watermarks.

I don't want it to go away so that I can use it for commercial purposes. It's just very irritating not to see my work like it should look. Anyone have an idea?

Removing it would be illegal... You'll have to buy the program.
