Hi Guys,

The following produced odd results: BhodiNUT Tiles (in this case planks) in the color channel, with bevel and grout width to 1%, applied to a plane, gave me an image with, at the bottom of the image, black lines with a certain pixel width, and, at the top of the image, black lines with the same pixel width (see image in attachment). One would expect the lines to become smaller - perspective, you know?

I tried with different sampling types, with different AA-settings, and in both 7.3 and 8.001, and it always produces the same result. I also got the same result in the bump channel, i didn't check it for the other channels.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug in the shader (or in the SDK)? Or is it supposed to work this way? Or am I just plain stupid (O.K., don't answer the last one).

Cheers,
BaRa

Set the delta in tiles to around 10%

Hope this helps.........

Setting the delta to another value - 10% - 1% - 0.1% - didn't change a thing (in R8). Don't know if it was close, but in any case: no cigar. Thanks for the suggestion :-)

maybe try a different anti-alias setting for your tile material?

I'm going to have to say this is bug for sure. Sweet mother of pearl that is an odd thing!

I can't do anything to get it to fix! It's crazy! A 2D map is going to have to be your fix for this unless I over looked something.

Hi BaRa,
The problem seems sensitive to MIP scales in the render and material settings, but it's hard to get a good result with their adjustments, I think. Alternatively, you could fit the texture to the object and adjust scales in the BN Tiles.
