Sorry for the stupid question guy, but i cant recall how to change the workspace color In maya 7.0 from the defult grey. Iv looked through lots of option box's but cant find it, think i maybe over looking it, any help would be great

Well, this would probably be better handled in the Maya forum, but since you're here . . .

I have 6.5 so 7.0 might be slightly different, but try going to Window->Settings/Preferences->Colors... In the dialog box edit the General->3D Views->Background . . . and that should do it. I hope that's what you're looking for.

Alt+b(in window) will be toggling 'bright grey','default grey', and 'black'
