Hello,
I am trying to animate bacteria flying in from all directions into an open wound (cut, v shaped), and sticking to the sides. Once inside, they begin replicating, and sort of "crawling around". And finally, they need to be able to stop flowing in once I tell them to do so.

I have been having a difficul time trying to get all of this to work. For example I tried using curve flow (I need to be able to control how they flow into the wound), but when I made the particle's life span "forever", they didn't want to flow on a path anymore :( I was a using a volume emitter, with an instance replacer to make the particles the desired shape, and a "make collide" to make them stick to the sides (again, couldn't get this to work with curve flow). Could somebody please help me out? Thanks ahead of time.

I'm new to this all and just starting to get out of "reading how to do" and "doing how to do". But, I think brainbugz plugin could help you...if you don't know it already it is a free plugin that lets you control bugs and their tropism, movement and so. Second try, If you got already the flying animation right, how not to use goalPP and use your wound as a goal. Hope it helps you! I'm a microbiologist and would be interesting how it turns up! Marco

Thank you for your reply Marcob. No, I have never heard of this plugin. But I just downloaded it, and it looks pretty cool. I'll try it out, and if it looks good, Ill show you the result. Have a good day (or is it night by you?)

hi...

brainbugz is cool one. for you you can try in second option. ie.. GoalPP

create a surface emitter back of your camera. emit particles. select the wound surface and make it as goal for particles. animate the goal values.

you can get it.

-Baran.
