View Full Version : Weird artifacts in max with GeForce 4
GRMac13 01-06-2003, 06:41 PM I just installed my new GeForce 4 Ti4600 video card. Now, for some reason, when I open max I get a weird artifact in the viewport. It seems like in the lower right corner of the VP there is an area where i get a sort of "ghosting" effect. It's a small section of the screen and when I navigate around the scene it seems to not update with the rest of the viewport. It's really odd, and I didn't have this issue with my old GeForce 3. Has anyone else run into this problem? Is there a fix for it?

What driver version?
Sometimes ghosting is caused by dual planes conflicts. Try turning dual planes on/off, either in the nvidia ogl control panel, or within 3dsmax preferences.

The display driver version is 6.13.10.2832. i tried turning off dual planes in both the Open GL settings and in Max's viewports settings, but no luck. Any other advice?

Try a newer driver. 41.09 is the latest.
