Oooh it's really nice, very well modeled... the lighting is good!! i suggest you a technique, i don't know if you applied it to this image: put an area light on each wall, you'll simulate a sort of radiosity effect and you'll need only one light per wall and a main light source for sun ;)

is that a snake ? what's in the ground of the hall way ?

Nice work! I like the mysterious snake like things on the floor. I don't want to know what they are. The mystery is part of the fun! Me likes! :applause:

Nice image. I particularly like the wall lights and textures.

Your subject is one close to my heart since I'm deeply involved with modelling rooms at the moment - it's always nice to see someone's take on the subject.

By the way, what's going on on the floor ?

hey sad, nice work, but.........I would take care to ThirdEye_01 suggestion because all looks quite good, but you need a real shadow, and right now you don't have one.

.....waitin' for your improvement.....

claudio72: i do not understand what you mean. no shadow? at the chair? the hose-snake-thing? please let me know.:wavey:

thank you for the comments!

thirdeye: i was tinking of area lights but i have figured out that it wasn't necessary in this particular case.

everybody is allowed to give the red hose or whatever it is its own meaning.

main subject: the chair. stable and a place of silence and recreation.

Hmm, the wood paneling seems awfully high. Maybe there are houses like that, but it seems kinda odd to me. Having the paneling at about 1/3 up seems more natural.

i really like the picture so far, but i think it needs a bit more work on the lighting.. right now the white door sticks out too much for my taste...

maybe try putting some lights with a soft falloff along the sides of the floor for a bit of a fill light

I know there's some sort of light and shadow but all seems too flat!!
And also consider adjusting the prospective and the dimension of the door, because it looks to big to me!!

Also the prospective and the camera need some works because the circle on the roof looks like a bit strange........

Woooooooo! :applause: :applause: :applause: Bravo!

i love the octopus tentacles? or a Rose plant root? heheh whatever. Nice lighting and texturing. Hmmm....it looks like i am in mood of trying to use the none radiosity. That radiosity took up alot of my prrreeeeecciioouuussssss (imagine that Golloum/Semagol chanting precious) time.

it looks good. I am a bit curiouse though as to why you didn't use a radiosity solution considering it is just a still. It is a very good simulation of the radiosity anyway.

Nice work.

Hi sad!
The one thing I especially love about your pictures is, that there is always more behind them, than you'd see on first sight.
They all have a deeper meaning, a mood behind the mood. They are often a bit depressing and sad, but on the other hand mystical and with a touch of hope.
Real artwork to me. :)

for cinema4d XL6 doesn't contain a radiosity renderer i have to work with the standard light/shadow settings.
i was curious if i am able to simulate it.

thank you all for the tips and critics. maybe i'll work on realizing the suggestions one day.
;)

xerc: thank you so much! you encourage me! :wavey:

WOW, this really is fantastic... the ONLY thing i saw thats wrong to me, is inside the room, its obviously the same interior design.
But, i dont think it would be, i mean, ive never seen the design be exactly the same from a hallway into another room. especially not in a hotel, which im presuming it is, either that or a block of apartments>?

but incredibly nice work... great job, and lovely nice large render :)

You like chairs, don't you?

Nice... Yuck, that are big red cables to me... any other thing would be too disturbing. The hallway is really nice... a little surreal, but nice.

the red cables are veins. and yes, i really like chairs. you can see that in many of my 3d works.

love this picture very much.

i didnt even notice the chair at first... everything points straight to room 42.... but the eye evenutally tracks back to the chair as u follow the pipes into the room. i think this is a good thing.

it would be nice to see another version of this pic with moodier lighting... just to see what the effect is.

i also agree with changing the wallpaper in that room..

I like the narrow but tall hallway look. It feels like Europe the way I remembered it. Nice glows and spills of color and light. What's the story behind the red tubes homey?

the wallpaper: i think you are right!

@krugar:
what kind of lighting would you suggest in order to make it moodier?
