First vew of the armor.. with textures..

Waow it's time for me ton enter the challenge !! I hope I'll be able to finish my picture..!
My Idea is to show a little kid, that has to become a man, in a very dangerous world.
In the forground, the kid will be presented like verry shie and skinny.. With a surdimensionned armor, sword and helmet..
His journey will be very long !

First idea for the head, I've tried to make the face scared and sad..
05-11-2006, 12:56 PM
Yeah, it's going on !
here are the future shoes.. !
05-11-2006, 01:57 PM
I did hair, very simple, juste some splines..
I find this not so ugly.. !

A little update.. with the arms !

Very nice textures. I like the armour and the shoes.
And his face is very expressive.

The kid updated.. advices are welkome..

That model of the boy is superb. It is beautifully expressive. Details like the slim arms and adult-sized boots work really well. The detail on the armour is excellent too. I like this image a lot. Looks to me like the background scene is going to be a big job. Good luck

Thanks for your comment ! :)
Yes, I thing there is still a lot of things to do !!
But I think I can be in the times ! Heu.. I hope so !

Good texturing man...:)
I like armour. Work... there is no time... Good Luck.

Yep first idea of the backstage.. not so easy to do great montains..!
05-13-2006, 08:38 AM
You work fast! The mountains look wonderful. They currently look like they're the same scale as the foreground detail, so some haze might be good. It's great to see the whole composition coming together. Good luck

Thanks for your comment !
For the fog, I'll make it, it will renforce the depth of the scene..
I've got to work fast, cause, there is no tiiiiiiiiiiiiiime !! lol
05-13-2006, 11:53 AM
yes, not much time, but it looks like you really know what you're doing! That's an excellent bridge, and it enhances the overall composition beautifully. This looks like being a really strong piece of work

Another backstage.. With a fall !
I'll try to have a much more dramatique athmosphere, but for the moment, I don't exacly what I want as background..
Tell me what you prefer !! Thank you..
When I will be fixed on what I want to do, I'll begin to make all the rest, all the details, but I really need to know what's better.. Valley or lake and fall?
05-13-2006, 04:30 PM
I like your picture, i don't think it's necessary to change the colours
but if you want something more dramatic, i suppose you should get it with the castle
as you sketched it and some black birds in the sky.
Oh yes ! you forgot snow at the top of some mountains i the farest background ....
Go ahead man !

Nice work...

Just another test..

hi, great job. I like stylized art. Perhaps the background mountains could have less saturation and contrast. Character, about to Cross Rope bridge seems very popular in this challenge. I shall do one on a few weeks! Cheers and Goodluck
