can someone tell me a little about Shake, I see its a film compositing software.
Is is better than Premiere/AfterEffects.

Shake is marketed for film resolution compositing since file size is usually larger compared to broadcast. Unlike AFX, Shake is node based and procedure (programming).
Premiere is a nonlinear editing software not compositing. I prefer Avid Xpress since interactivity is faster. But overwhelming with information.
Nevertheless, its not the software that makes the artist its the talent.
