Just wanted to post my newest reel and see what everyone thinks. I'm trying to finish up a few more game-style characters (with a sci-fi theme) to add in, and I've stripped out all my craptastic lipsync (the acting was decent, but the lipsync itself was slightly below muppet level, so I ripped it out as I'm targeting the game industry atm) and sadly, I have a fully rigged humanoid character with hair and face setup, by far my best character, who doesn't even make an appearance because I'm having some technical difficulties with my computer and so far I haven't been able to get an animation done with him. But aside from that, what do you all think? Some of the old stuff is still pretty sloppy, but I'm slowly trying to push it off the back end. Anyway, without further ado:

It all looks so smooth and well animated, I really like it. What's your background? Is it all self study? I'm not sure, but in the end those are some animationmentor animations?

But yeah, like I said I really like 'em. Whenever your problems with the other project are over I expect an update ASP!

Just wanted to give it a quick bump, to see if anyone else had opinions on it. I'm thinking of sending it out again to some game companies (including the one I work at in tech support) since its been a while since I sent anyout (last time was when the last animation on the reel now was the bet animation on the reel, and that was way to early). I'm torn between sending it out and waiting, because I have a few new characters I'm working on and the animations will be even better when done, but, there will always be animations, and eventually I'll have to send it out again, not to mention that between animation mentor and working 40-50 hours a week, I'm just plain running low on time to keep working on the reel itself. Any opinions? As always, feedback is appreciated.

Cool work, I liked it! fluid animation and matching soundtrack, really entertaining to watch...
the sword-out-of-the-stone-pulling part was my favourite, so funny conclusion. :)

But I also have some crits, though. Your knight looks pretty cool, but he reminds
me strongly of some Warcraft3 characters...just my thought...
also his walking looks like his boots a teribbly heavy (don't know if it's intentional).
your intro title cards show a bit too long, imho.

overall pretty good work, keep it up!

looks not bad

just a couple of crits:

i wasnt keen on the music, the motion blur is a little distracting in some shots with the knight guy? just seems a little bit too much at times? he also lacks weight a wee bit, and seems to jerk into poses sometimes with no cushion, just looks a little jerky.

decent reel tho.

Good stuff man, although i think your title sequence shows a bit too much.
