Hi, this is my first post on these exellent forums!. I've been sketching some fantasy type illustrations recently, this Elf girl and a fairy which is still only a very rough sketch at the moment. I've started to paint her in Photoshop, but I would love some feedback and possibly some ideas for backgrounds, quite like the idea of a wood Elf, so maybe a foilage/blurred out forest or something like that. I've just blocked green in the back for now.

I'm not a big fan of cartoony stuff, but your drawing is good. My only suggestion is to perhaps re-work the shadow over her forehead and eyes

Thanks! Yes I agree the shadow over her eyes looks a bit like a mask at the moment, needs to feel like it follows the contours of her face a little more.
