Redraw your very first (or one of the first) daily sketch.

by Vyse_soa

These are the rules:

You have 60, (count them 60!) minutes to do your sketch. IF you go beyond the
assigned time limit , you have to post WHATEVER you have done after the time has
expired, along with the FINAL drawing.
Also, I will add a new voting category, called THE FASTEST DRAW.
Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
They can be done on any medium.
If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
The topics will be posted every day between 10:00 - 12:00 am US EST.
The artist also has to post total length of time it took (Thanks Clanger for the idea) and program used.
Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
The topics will be picked at random from the list on this thread
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them). NEW RULE!
Ill post ANOTHER thread to quantify and track WHO has participated the most on these threads.
Good luck

-Roberto

Haha, my very first one was for the topic "Get Well Soon Enayla!" I think I'll do a different one, if I do one. Maybe I'll do the "legends/myths/stories from your country" again.

I was thinking of your first one posted in the
DSG Thread ;)

My first one was for the 4th, "MONKEYS WITH GUNS". Unfortunately, it's missing. The oldest one I could find is this:

http://august.f2o.org/temp/meet-the-parents.jpg

From the 10th, "MEETING THE IN-LAWS"

Good old times. :) I'll try to redo that if i can spare some time.

Sorry I haven't been around in quite a while, but I've had final exams and projects like crazy the last few weeks. Sadly, I probably will not be posting for some time again now that I'm done with school. I don't have a computer at home and have to use the school's computer. I'll still do my best to contribute if I can.

My first sketch was "October" for that calendar project a while back. It took me 1.5 hours.

And my new one was a half hour less. I tried to do it in a similar style. At least I probably got faster!

It's been a little over a year since I made my first attempt at CG. I feel like I've learned so much since then. :D

This was my original "Animals as humans"
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b364/djtrousdale/Animalsashumans1.jpg

And here we are, 60 min, gimp, mouse (my hand is killing me)

C&C would rock hardcore.

I did my first DS a few hours ago (gladiators) so I didn't have too much time inbetween to improve :D but I tried to use "correctish" perspective in the redraw so that the figures look like standing (or lying dead) rather than hovering.

The first one:

And the redraw:

Wow. The before and after. Definitely the second one is an improvement! Always drawing something previously helps you when you go to draw it again. Your new men seem less floaty, yes. Very good! I see much potential and drama in your work. Now you just need to work on anatomy and perspective. Like me. Heh heh. Keep drawing!

great thread, it's exciting to see the difference in these. khanumnaow, that is amazing, I hope I can improve like that! lucavi, obviously you had brilliant form & colour before, great to see the composition change and nice details... poor lady is definitely being swallowed up in that terrible arm now.

Black Monday was my first. So actually not that long ago:
http://www.vizonrok.com/images/org/69.jpg

And here's the revision done in 50-60 minutes (not sure exactly as I had to fold laundry in the middle):
http://www.vizonrok.com/images/org/313.jpg

My buildings are still crap, but at least there's more going on. Not that a plain ole' nuclear mushroom explosion is boring...but you know. Now at least there's a business man frying on his way to work. and yes, that's supposed to be a cell phone.

Incidently, this is really what Phoenix feels like in the summers.
