Hi,
I made a simulation of a rocket crashing on the ground with rigidbodies.
I managed to make the rocket sliding on the ground from the horizon to the camera. When it arrives at the end the rocket should stop moving. But the rigidbody simulation makes it keep balancing.
I can't find a way to make it stop completely. I tried to bake to simulation so that I can delete the end keys, but my rocket is in fact made of several pieces grouped together, the rigid body is this group.
Can someone help me please ?

Key the damping.
When you want the rocked to start stopping key it at the value its at, then at the frame you want it to stop key a really high value on it.

Test it out with different damping values to get the result you want.

I dont know if this is a good way or not, but ive done it before and got the result I was looking for.
:)

you could try to set active/passive keys. if you set a passive key, you control the movement and if you key it active it's controlled by the solver.
