Hi everybody,

What do you think of post-autonomy in art? what does the word mean to you? Does it mean that there are no longer rules? or can art stand without musea, curators, artists, audience or concept?

please let me know what your thoughts are about this.

Hi there, :)

I personally don't know anything about this, but found this website:

http://www.postautonomy.co.uk/blog/

I think this is a question best suited for the Art Theories and Techniques Forum, which is more discussion~based, so I am moving it there. :)

Cheers,

Tnx RebeccaK,

No problem. :)

It's pretty interesting, I found this wikipedia bit on pa art:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-autonomous_art

I'm not sure, but by it's definition, you might even be able to consider a forum such as CGTalk post~autonomous art. A forum as such is sort of an open~ended dialogue, I often think of the Anatomy Forum this way ~ that the larger project is the forum itself, as contributed to by it's members.

Thanks for raising the topic, I think it's an interesting one. :)

Cheers,

~Rebeccak
