And here is the original I worked from. Oh, and this is the resolution I painted in (800x600)

Having gotten warmed up with that first, I whipped out a couple more sketches...only spent about 30 min on these each, as opposed to about 3.5 hours on the first.
I know there are some really talented guys around here, I'm not one of them, so please give me some feedback I can really learn from you guys.

now thats a dump out in the boonies right there, see less and less of the thank god, times move one. god look at the galvanise roof, brrrrrr
as to the art its not bad , the one thing it looks like a post card, flat rather than an interesting approch to the subject say a low angle at say 45 degress to side of the structure. the church composition while more central is more interesting since it gives a sense of depth and space.

I like these - you usually don't see landscapes here without some sort of fantasy creature or something - these are pleasant :)
I like the second version of the first one that you showed, and I really am looking forward to seeing what you do with the rocks/cliffs one. The church one is a little plain for my tastes, but in regards to the art itself it's quite nicely done, a good sense of depth and light.
Nice job! :)

I like the very first piece. the one with the house. I think that if you pain that scene in an afternoon setting it has the potential to be a lot more interesting. you've got big sky there... I think it would be nicer if you made that atmospheric.
you've got nice pieces here.
