View Full Version : Where's CS4?

Hi guys.

This question was probably asked a couple of times before but where the hell is Charachter Studio 4? It looked like it was really improved with the new NLA editors etc during siggraph02 but I didn't saw or heard anything about it since then.

Did I miss some release information?
Is it kept for the 5.5 release or for the next rewrite or what? :hmm:

My guess, they are in a state of panic attempting to fix bugs and problems. What other reason would they have? does not exactly fill me with hope.

I'm going to go see another show here in Texas about Max5 and CS4 on Jan 14th and while I'm there I'll ask Discreet when the frig we can get our hands on this software once and for all. It's really great seeing these shows by Discreet but I'm with you guys on this one. I'm done with the show, let me purchase my upgrade already. I'm ready to curve my appetite for non-linear animation! Let's gitonwidit!

BTW, ask them when they will improve the OpenGl "sluggy" display.

It may be out around Jan 14th or so. I had a note from discreet a while back (Dec.) saying that they were shooting for mid-January. Which is coming up quickly... :)

I said 'may be' because I really don't know. Just calculated guess.
