this tuesday, may 9th, apple is expected to release the non-pro macbook line with intel processors called the macbook. They are geared toward students and are very well built, light, and thin. They can also run both mac OSX and windows, so you can have the best of both worlds. For similar specs they will be about the same price as the compaq v2000t series, and will most likely range in price from $999 to $1299, with $100 academic discounts available to students and teachers. I'd see what they are like in a few days and then making a decision.
