yeah recently was making my pictures folder more organized. Like put in sections.
For some weird reason, some folders show the picture on the preview of the folder, but when open the folder, no pics inside? any ideas?

thanks

those folders that show images on them use a file called
Thumbs.db
to store previews of your photos, and if windows does not update those
Thumbs.db
files, the folders will still show the images on the folder

its lame, the best thing to do is just hover the mouse over the folder and
see if windows tells you if any pictures are in them
(you know, hover mouse over folder and wait for the little yellow popup)

unhide hidden files, that way you can see the thumbs.db files and just delete them if there's no pictures.

you need to also uncheck the "hide important operating system files" box aswell

i use XP, and thats the deal here, just unhiding files does not show the
"thumbs.db" file

of course, if you go around unhiding important files, just be careful what
your deleting

anyway, if your folders are doing werid stuff, just make a new folder and remove
the old one?
