Does anybody know where I can find some manuals or tutorials for Lustre 2.51?

Thanks.

As high-end and ridiculously expensive as Lustre is, you mean to tell me, for all those 10's of thousands of dollars you paid for it, it didn't even come with manuals or training resources? Wow. And you bought something that expensive without knowing how to use it?

I wouldn't be quite so quick to jump to the piracy solution in this case.

I read the lustre manual and a couple tutorials "just in case" I get an opprotunity to get some hands on time on a job.

I have my suspicions this is the same reason discreet released a multi-hour video training series for the smoke and flame system for free on their website.

Sure, that makes sense. But, when you were looking at the manuals, was it for version 2.51? Or would the version 2 manual have done in that case. Seems a little specific.

hi,

I understand you need to learn sinisa80...but how in hell did you get your hands on lusture  .

Well i could suggest you download iridas SPEED GRADE...they have a on set free version you could give a whirl. The documentation is very sparse though.
FX guide has a article on Colorists and you could learn a lot from there too.
fxphd will in their second course offering will have a section devoted to DI so dop by then.

If you thaught the manuals of lusture are going to teach you how to be a colorist then NO they dont. It's more like a refrence so you have to know what you are doing.

Another great learning tool I'm just starting to learn (for compositing as well) is the fusion 5 "demo" which is full featured, has a great grading node, lets you bring up a vectorscope, waveform monitor and more. All it does is put a watermark on a rendered image. What more could you ask for! well... besides it being all free. If I didn't already use combustion as my primary compositor, I would be giving Fusion a very serious look.
