Title: Adolescence in renaissance
Name: Britta Glodde-Herkenrath
Country: Germany
Software: Photoshop

My idea was to show a young girl in the renaissance century, wondering what faith has chosen for her. The cloister, an apprenticeship in the nearby town or even a marriage?

My thanks to Gitte (the photographer) who inspired me to this title. :)

Please feel free to leave comments and critics.

dont be too shy with the shade, maybe more contrast would help the image

I still like your image a lot - it has a nice "old" feeling. As the previous poster said, don't be shy with the contrast. Perhaps you could have painted a little loosely over some parts of her dress to make it look a little more natural ? It looks a little bit stiff right now.

Anyway, nice image and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you !

It does look like a painting from that period, I like your idea.

Thank you all for your nice and helpful comments. :) @ Lman & ThePhotographer: You both are right. This image needs more shadows. But as this is my first portrait, I was afraid to spoil it. I will try to work more on shadows in my next pic.
