View Full Version : Invalid System Disk error

Hey guys and girls.

I tried to turn on the PC machine in my mums gym and it only had a blank screen and said, "Invalid System Disk. Please insert disk and press any key."

I have read that this is because the files are not being booted from disk properly. Im not sure if we have a system disk with the machine. Any ideas what I should do?

Check if it has a floppy disk in the drive, this is surprisingly often the cause for this problem.
Other then this, if only the bootstrap is damaged a repair installation with Windows will do the trick.

There wasn't a floppy in the drive, but the system was trying to boot from the floppy and there wasn't anything there. Was able to configure the machine properly to boot from the hard drive.
