Hi,

Ok, firstly it would be great if someone knows the answer to this, is it possible to buy modules second hand? I know you can buy C4D but what about the modules?

Anyway if it is possible I am looking for Net Render for C4D 8.5.

Thanks
Jon

Since the modules are tied to your C4D registration number, I am fairly certain you cannot buy an addon module 2nd hand and have it work for you.

Hi,

I am not sure if you can sell modules second hand. If you find that you can then i will sell you my net render 8.5. Its got 3 liscences.

I never use it so i might as well get rid of it.

I think if you email Maxon they will tell you if you can or not.

Let me know.

Actually i'd consider selling my entire 8.5xl bundle for CHEAP money. I just bought a 8.1 liscence so i don't even need 8.5 anymore.

My bundle has net render, mocca, TP, um well whatever else comes with 8.5 xl. :)

Throw a price at me for the XL and maybe i can sell it to you.

That certainly is true of the modules, but NET is basically a separate application with a unique serial. Case in point.. after install of XL or SB when you launch C4D you are asked to input serials for C4D and all of your modules, except for NET. That dialog doesn't come up until the first time Server is launched.

Now, there may be an issue with whatever modules you currently have working with NET, but then again for the reasons stated above, perhaps not.

I definitely second the notion that you should call Maxon, or PM Srek.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies, I am only using the base package so have no other modules. But what I will do is contact Maxon and see what they say.

I am pretty sure I couldn't buy modules that are part of a bundle, I was generally referring to the people that had bought net render seperately, but I will get the facts and then get back to you, will be Monday now I guess :)

Thanks again
Jon
