I started about 3 month back. But It's my first maya project.. so I needed to learn a lot.. which slowed me down.

Very nice.....kind of reminds me of the symbiotic relationship between Mad Max's "Master Blaster", at least that was the first thing to come to mind.

Well Done!

A tut would be nice. Interesting look, speacial look and feel. Next time give us the whole body and a little more of the surroundings. That would be off the charts nice.
But what you are showing is very nice and pleasing to look at. well done.

Ahem, I love you, you are the greatest, I wish I were you.
Now. When can we get free copies :)

Looks great, you need a tutorial, but the thing is no one ever makes them when you ask :thumbsdow

This is your first project you said, I need to make a project for myself, because I'm not progressing just doing little things.

It looks awsome, expecialy if its done at such a high resolution:buttrock:

A few crits though, nothing regarding the 3d though :)

The hand, not sure if its just me but it seems a tiny bit too big, if I just compare it to my hand then my knuckles(sp?) reaches from the bottom of my chin to the bottom of my nose.

The other is much much much smaller, and thats the head.It also looks rather too large but only by a few pixels in the pic, just by comparison with the sholders.

But still brilliant work :applause:

Incredible work! The first thing that struck me were the textures, I'm simply amazed at the quality you acheived there, I also love the content alot as I'm a huge fantasy fan, not much to crit here other than to say marvelous work.

wow.. thanks anyone..

This is really good, meaby you can go all out and create the entire model next time.

Actually one of the next posters will feature the whole character.

Have you written any kind of tutorial on how you made this?
If not - You really should!

Argh.. I'm such a bad teacher.. maybe I will when I've done more in this style.

Is it rendered with maya native renderer ?
Yep.. I tried MRay but it was wayy to slow to interact and the Beta wouldn't render at 3000x6000 either. (Well the Native didn't either, but there's a workaround)
I used around 20 colored lights for the environment and one raytraced light for the sun.

For the cloth, did you work with Maya cloth ?
Nope it's Poly Modelled and smoothed. Actually never thought about using cloth.

I was watching your site, you did some incredible pictures, i like the style you got. What do you use to make that beautiful images ? Photoshop only ?
Yes.. those are my "roots"... now I trie to combining with 3D.

Ahem, I love you, you are the greatest, I wish I were you. Now. When can we get free copies ?
hehe.. I want your MONEY!!!!

The hand, not sure if its just me but it seems a tiny bit too big,
mhm.. you might be right.. another friend pointed to that too.. I'll look into it.

You have received the CGtalk choice award.
oh o Thanks!

...would love to get my hands on the original render... yes?
No..
hehe.. well I'll post some details tomorrow..cos I'm on the work PC right now.. There's a lot of the textures lost in this sized down jpeged version.

I really like the image, just some comments:

The hand, as someone said before, seems a bit big.
The hands of the monsters seems very soft, try adding some wrinkles and bumps, something like leather or similar.
IŽd add some forest or similar vegetation on the black background.

Great Work!

IŽd add some forest or similar vegetation on the black background.

*sigh*.. I wanted to do that.. but my digicam's resolution isn't big enough. So I'd need to put alot together. Maybe I'll make a v2, when I can afford a better digicam.

Here are some details.. they are still at about 30%.. but .. you get the Idea. Most of the textures are based on photos, but all of them heavely manipulated.

cool image, it reminds me of an Alex Ross concept where The Hulk and David Benner personalities split into 2 different beings.

hi,
I commented earlier on how muck I like this....

but what keeps coming to my attention is the neck. The black area around the neck between the shoulder pads blends to muck with the background. It just looks weird I can't explain.

maybe a lighter shirt that connects the pads with the neck?

oh well....keep up the good work.

peace,
Kane
