Hi,

I am having some trouble with the timeline and while I think the answer will be an obvious one in the end I will ask it anyway.

I have a simple logo animation, which explodes apart at 90 frames, after setting up some cameras I decided it should really start at frame 90, so I went into the time line, found the markers that started the explosion, highlighted all and moved them on to frame 120.

The thing is the explosion still happens at frame 90, and apart from one camera their are no other keyframes?

What have I done wrong?

Thanks
Jon

Are you using the explosion deformer? If so you should just have to change the keyframes for "Time" under the Object tab.

Hi Adam,

Yes, I am using the explosion deformer.

I did it the way you said and yes that worked fine, thanks :)

No idea why it did not work when I moved it in the timeline, no doubt missing something obvious :)

Anyway thanks again
Jon

Well, I cannot say for certain, as I can't see over your shoulder. But, from what you said, it sounds like you moved Markers on the Timeline rather than KeyFrames, which are different...

Hi,

No, I made a grave mistake which I have just noticed, I opened the timeline to take a screenshot and noticed I moved the markers for the extrude nurbs on the logo rather than the explosion FX.

Doh!! [slaps head]

Thanks
Jon
