Hi Everyone....

I have a small issue, since two days i have the internet options disabled....I cannot access it from eiter the browser or the control pannel.

It says that the operation is cancelled due to restrictions on the pc, please contact the administrator.

Well I'm on my laptop and the administrator of it....

I searched the web and found many posts on NoBrowserOption registry key...but they did not help (they were actually not present in my registry, and nothing changed when I added them)...

did anybody encountered thi issue?

Thank in advance.

Hal.

(PS: I know I had this issue quite a few months ago and I tinkered with every "possible" solution i found on the net, but nothing helped and I ended up reinstalling XP.)

Thank you for the link, but it was not related to the group policy.

I finally found out what it was....the security of the file intcpl.cpl in the system32 folder were taken of...that file was responsable of the error message. After restoring controll to the admin I was able to use the explorer options.

Thanks anyway.

Hal.
