Hi there

as anyone ever thought making a incremental Save script for Maya ( a la Max ) so you can save your object with a suffix number that expend object001, object002, object003 ect . ect . ect

im asking this because when you work on lots of project it becomes certain that having good names for your Files helps a lot ....

thanks in advance ....

4.5 has incremental saves, you can also download a script on highend3d, i believe.

You can do this in both 4.0 and 4.5 (don't know if earlier too)

You just press the optionbox for save scene, and press Incremental save check box.
You can specify how many incremental saves you want there too.

Just remember to create a new project for each project you make, so all files save in the right folders.

Hope you get it to work
