With the sliders, just turn on Accept touchstrip from pen only in the tablet control panel advanced touch strip settings. You could also set one of the side buttons to be your mmb as it is, and you can also use your keyboard with your tablet for the modifier keys if your hands don't feel natural where the buttons are on the tablet itself.

I know that all this functions are configurable, but the buttons are not functional, and I don't want to use my keyboard to do these functions that are more natural with the tablet and I don't want to take off the PEN of the work area of the tablet only to use the sliders.
Thank you for your comment.
When I paint with the Wacom, my hand, wrist and forearm are very close to (sometimes touching) the tablet surface. I think there are many users like me. This Intuos 4 will definitely not work for us.
