Can anyone tell me how i can change the splash-screen of MAX4 ? Iīve browsed the whole directory, but couldnīt find the image... I think i have to rename the extension of this file - but WHAT FILE ?

Bassit,

Just save your splashscreen image as a bitmap and rename it to splash.bmp. Then place this file in your 3dsmax installation directory.
