looks great!

I have seen that model before :D but do not remember where.
IŽd suggest some kind of glasses or some kind of helmet. Anything to make the head less boring.

What about the back? Could we see some wireframes?

Keep it up!

 wow ! just love it !
Very nice mesh and textures !!
A few minor crits though : the textures seem to be organised too much in "color regions ": grey for upper body, brown for pants red for the "flasks", i think it might look even better if you combine those a litlle and add more color variation.
A few questions about the mesh and uvmapping : first screen caps look like wings 3d : what soft did you use ?
The uv seems very clean : did you manually unwrap it ? And mostly did you do it pre-or post meshsmooth ?
Great model with character ! Would be nice to see it finished !
Any plans for environment ?

wow ! just love it ! ** Thank you...

A few minor crits though : the textures seem to be organised too much in "color regions ": I think that you are right when saying the colors are to organised ,I'll have do some thing about that I think...
few questions about the mesh and uvmapping : first screen caps look like wings 3d : what soft did you use ? 3D max 4.26 or some thing can remember I have not loaded max 4 some time useing max 5 now...The uv seems very clean : did you manually unwrap it ? Yes I did it most with planar uv maps and just tweek it abit untill it was how I wanted it to look in the Unwrap uvw editor...Here is a tutorial on my web site that showing the way that I do it...The tutorial still needs some work on it ..But it gets the point across I think.UNRWAPING TUTORIAL (http://www.mastering3d.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Tutorial%20unwrap.htm) .And mostly did you do it pre-or post meshsmooth ? I all ways work in as lowerpoly as I can ..And unwrap the model ,When I have the uv maps done and I am happy with it I had meshsmooth to the model that I want to save out for mapping .So that way when it comes to adding the texture at the point of meshsmoothing it will not look streched but it will fit the way that it is meant to ..Makes it better that way so you can drop back to lowpoly and you dont have think about bad texturing..As it will look good when meshsmooth on it at the end...Works for me any way...
