View Full Version : Locking layers in Combustion
qfwfq 05-04-2006, 02:54 AM Greetings,
I'd like to know if it is possible to lock layers in Combustion as can be done, for example, in AE?
Thanks

Ok, like most of my replies ;), I just came up with this hack so I don't take any responsibility for it.
This will freeze the layer, so any animation you apply to it, won't take effect while the layer is frozen... it is a hack afterall so it can't be perfect :).
If you select the transformation drop-down in the timeline for the layer. Right click and select "add expression". It will freeze all the transforms until you right click on the layer's transformations section and click "remove expression."
The same process can be applied to any statistics you don't want to change.
Is there a specific purpose for locking the layer? Maybe I misunderstood what you want.
