What's CTS? What is it used for?

its an R8 only plugin that has 3 commands for "C"urrent "T"o "S"election I believe thats what the CTS means but you'd have to ask designer, the one who wrote it.
Basically it takes the current selection and applies it to which ever you tell it, current to points, current to edges, and current to polys
be nice if that selection window was non modal since I still use it a bit, but these sure speed things up by not having to go to the menu and open a window check some boxes and then say okay.

you understand perfectly, cause in R8 those to options for points to polies and polies to oints were moved into a dialogue when they added in edges and some extra functionality, problem is that new dialogue is somewhat innefficient as is so we begged for somone to make something better and samir jumped on it, he's good at listening to what people want and making those simple plugins that make our lifes easy. nice thing is you can use the as keyboard commands making yourslef even more efficient which you can't do with the dialogue box

I just found DarkTree Simbionts, and they're AMAZING.

They just added a C4D plugin, and it works great. =)
So other than PluginCafe (which is a pain to find plugins in) Where can one snag these "Must haves"?

MJV has a good list of links on his site, but I can't seem to find the page on his site so hopefully he will read this thread if he is still around. best thing to do is to keep an eye onplugin announcements. Maybe we should start compiling a list of plugin developers sites here eh?
Just noticed, twist from Edmonton, do I know you, are you a student at vic? feel free to email me at kaiskai@vfs.com if you need help and stuff, not a lot of edmonton users outside of vic students and a few vic grads who still use it. I only know of two others, welcom aboard

:surprised Yeah, above is my "cut down" list. I can take out Bolt Classic because it doesn't seem to work. Also Control Center is out unless it's updated.

Kai: nope, I'm not a Vic student. (grin) Just a hobbyist. Besides,if I'd gone to Vic, it'd have been about 10 years ago. I'm currently attempting to figure out how to model well. I used to play around a bit with DOGA and Pov-Ray, for making spaceships.. but that's as close to real modelling as playing with legos. ;)
So now I'm trying to learn a real package.
