View Full Version : criticize it! (alien run cycle)

This is a run cycle for a music video that has been in development for a year or so now. No scene in the movie clip... 16 frame cycle (1-15,loop). Any and all comments and criticisms on the cycle would be great. Thanks so much for watching!

Hello-

If you could save it out again with 'loop' on, it would be easier to critique. Right now, it looks like the arms and upper body aren't opposing the legs... I think they should, even if it's an alien. Also, the upper body might need to be tilted forward a bit. Nice character!

hey man,
great job so far... I agree on the arms also. I would actually try jogging yourself to get the feel right(pretend you are a cartoon too!) Also the alien seems to be a bit too rigid(depending on its personality at the time) I would give a bit more bounch.. especially to the pelvis, and yes bend him forward a bit.

On a side note, the shoulders look to be sticking wayy out from his body, seems a bit unnatural.
And on a positive note, I love the feet. :)

as patconnole suggested he is tick tockin' meaning his arms and legs are on the same side. bipeds have trouble doing this due to balence issues.
