View Full Version : Weird .obj thing when exporting modo to maya

Ok - another weird thing that I couldn't find a solution for (yet).

Exporting an obj from modo 103 to Maya 7.
One Mesh at ~44k
multiple shaders on the sub-mesh level

Maya can read it in OK, however, check this out...

In Maya, I move the mesh to its appropriate location. The I Freeze Transforms to reset trans/rot/scale to 0 0 0. The mesh turns black, in all cameras. I can not attach shaders to the mesh, or if they are attaching, all I see is a black sillhouette in the view ports.

Anyone know what is going on and how I might fix this?
