Greetings
I've been searching around for quite a while today for a solution to a problem, and I think I may have fixed it, but not sure...
I am exporting from Modo 1.03 to Maya 7.0
Model is ~44K polys
1 default shader
Geometry is frozen
I installed the fmtmayama.lx update a via Brad Peebler's Yahoo group post. (This was good, b/c modo actually exported the *.ma file without crashing)
On opening the ma file in maya, the mesh would be invisible. tried lots of different things as posted on CGTalk previously. Nothing was working. Mesh was still invisible. On a whim, I switched cameras (went from persp to front). Amazingly, part of the mesh was visible! I changed back to persp and adjusted my clipping planes. Voila! I cna see my mesh again.
Not claiming that this will solve anyone elses similar problem, but it might be worth trying?
