seems like another chapter of me and my crisis with textures ;)

mmmhhh......well just played around a bit with a basic shape....i took a table and uvmapped it....got the uvmap plugged out and painted the texture in ps at 1440x1440...the texture was really sharp (bad expression...it was just not blurred and so on)...but then applied to the table it looked like some what blurry:hmm: and is in no way useable for a close-up...can any one of you texturing gods just give a texturing fool like i obviously am a hint what the basic prob is with such things?

Have you perhaps got anti-aliasing or pixel blending applied with your 3D software (not Photoshop)? This could cause the textures to look blurred.

I just remembered that you use LightWave :)
Try switching off anti-aliasing in the texture editor for that layer ;)

Actually, is it blurring or pixellation?
Post an image of what happened...

thx...pretty fast solution....never gave $0.02 about that anti-aliasing option in the texture editor layer...just had to weep it out...all of a sudden i actually recognized pixel blending and switched it of before ;) ...now i've got to improve the tex until its ok...thx again leigh ;)
