is there a way to toggle the visibility of the noicon pic (or any other texture for that matter) in the texture editor? I mean no matter how much I dim the picture from its fx options, it usually gets in the way and I can't see the UV wire clearly...

And, is there a way to see procedural textures in the texture editor?

thanx :)

My suggestion is to import a clip of plain color, and use this pic as the background image.

Not in XSI. I believe this is because procedural textures are textures generated only at render time by the shader.

To see them in the Texture Editor requires that you use Rendermaps to render the texture to a file, then use this file as a bitmap texture (that you can use both in the TE and in replacement of the procedural shader, or only in the TE if you want to keep the procedural shader).

Hope this helps
