Hey there everybody,
So I'm in the process of cleaning up several rigs and binds and I thought I would try to use Maya 7's new Influence color feedback option on smooth binding. Has anybody tried using this yet and if so has it actually worked for you? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but it is not working the way that it is explained in the Maya help docs. I only get two diffrent colors displayed instead of the "rainbow look" that is shown in the example. One been brown and the other a sea green but, the sea green only appears on the tip of the toes while the rest of the body verts are brown. When I adjust my weights on the verts it does not change the coloring so, why doesn't it change colors when I change the weight? and why is'nt it multi colored to show how that weight is being used on the verts?
I was hoping this new feature would help me get through all this work a bit faster so, I thought I would ask and see if anyone had tried using this option yet and if so what did you do to get it to function properly?
Whew! That's a mouth full....lol
