Well this has been bugging me for a while. I was wonderig if anyone can help me out here, I've got an XSI 2.0 I think file, its .scn. I am trying to get it into 3ds max, can anyone help me out please, does anyone know any program I can use to convert it to .3ds or .max. 3D Exploration doesnt help. Help would be greatly appreciated

In XSI... save as .xsi file... not a .scn file.

Then in deep exploration you need to open the .xsi and save as an .obj file (alias/wavefront/rhino format). Depending on the model, make sure you select tri or quad polygons (and generally just be careful and specific in the save options)

then with an .OBJ import/exporter plugin for 3dsmax (there are plenty around for free) you can get that sucker in max.

On the other hand, if it was a NURBS model...

you should the IGES file format either from XSI or Deep Exploration, then import with the IGES plugin available for 3dsmax too.

Kaydara gives away an fbx exporter/importer This is as solid an exporter as I have seen.
The file extention is .fbx and it's available for every software package you can think of. (maby not poser. But all the main stream programs.)
