A quick question...

How do I render a post effect as part of a MultiPass render, so that It does not appear on the RGBA image?

I want to render a Glow Post Effect pass that I can composite over my RGBA pass in post - thus having more control over how it looks - but C4D insists on combining it with the RGBA pass.

I get the feeling I'm not expressing myself very clearly. Hmm.

I'm getting my glow effect as a seperate pass, but I'm also getting it on the RGBA pass, which I do not want. How do I prevent this, other than rendering a completely seperate file?

thanks

Sorry, don't understand. I already have Post Effects enabled in Multi-Pass. I'm getting the glow pass as a seperate sequence which is what I want, I just don't want it applied to the RGBA pass.

What do I need the Diffuse pass for?

The ordinary "Save Image" gives a complete render, incl all post effects.
Same for RGBA in MultiPass. So if you don't want/need the complete render,
uncheck "Save Image".
In the Multipass settings use the "Blend Channel". In it check all options you want -except-
post effects, in your case.
Then add a separate PostEffect channel.

Thanks for that Lennart. I'd never noticed the Blend chanel. Very handy!
