Now, drawing inspiration from all the best things in life: Buzz Lightyear, Space Marines, Calvin and Hobbes, martial arts flicks, Japanese cartoons, Aliens, Mortal Kombat, Buck Rogers, Commander Keen . . . etc., I have created

Private Bob, Space Marine!

( ^ still frame ^ ;))

With a running time of one minute and six seconds, I present you with Episode I:

Xvid 720X480 (9.88 megs) (http://www.nathandunlap.brickfilms.com/movies/PrivateBobEp1_Xvidhigh.avi)

Xvid 360X240 (5.05 megs) (http://www.nathandunlap.brickfilms.com/movies/PrivateBobEp1_Xvidlow.avi)

RealOne 720X480 (4.44 megs) (http://www.nathandunlap.brickfilms.com/movies/PrivateBobEp1highish.rmvb)

I hope I will be able to continue the series and make more episodes as I really like this character.

So, sit back, turn up your speakers, and enjoy! Tell me what you think!

Thanks for watching,

Great ending... at first, it was a "what the hell is going on", but in the end it was "that was damn funny" so good stuff... :)

natey14: Thanks, I'm glad you like it.

ts_falcon: I'm glad that you enjoyed it and that it made you laugh. Ironically, I've never seen DragonBall Z (only heard of it) and I just had a vague idea of "Japanese Cartoons" and I so when I put that in I was hoping people would find it funny, but I had no idea that I had actually spoofed one of the particular shows. I found this out when I first posted this on a different message board a month ago. (The "Karate Kid" pose was another spoof that I knew was a Martial Arts spoof, but I didn't know where it had originated until after showing the short to some people.)

tamahoma22: Thanks, I'm very happy you liked the ending and that it caught you by surprise (some people thought it was too predictable).

Thanks for watching, and for your reviews!

Arrrgh4life: Thanks! I do have an idea for Episode II, but I need to polish it out a bit. Funny, I just got some really good advice about how to make the camera angles even better, but I'm glad you like them the way they are now. Camera angles are one of my weaker points.

Norl: Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks again for watching and your replies!
